February 2025: Message from Mrs. Lundin

Hi Mudbug Families,

It is hard to believe that March is already here. It won’t be long before the warm weather is here to stay and the end of year madness begins! Our spring parent-teacher conferences are scheduled for Monday, March 24, 2025. This presents a great opportunity to discuss your child’s progress in school. As you are aware, home-school communication is an important factor in your child’s success in school. Especially as we enter this final stretch of the school year. Parent Teacher Conference Day Sign Ups for this day will be sent home by the end of this week. Please take advantage of this opportunity. We look forward to seeing you in a few weeks!

Additionally, information regarding the state department's Bulletin 1566 regarding pupil progression and promotion for 3rd graders was sent home after each screening throughout the school year. This mandate requires 3rd grade students to score near, at, or above grade level on the end of year DIBELS literacy assessment in order to be promoted. All at-risk students have been receiving explicit targeted literacy interventions throughout the school year with frequent monitoring. These interventions will continue for the remainder of the school year. Further explanation will be provided by teachers to parents for at-risk students in this area at parent teacher conferences.

Lots of hard work and fun school events are in sight for the weeks ahead. We look forward to a Marvelous March!
